The use of butterfly valve

Butterfly valve, also known as flap valve, is a simple but functional control valve. The following are the main uses of butterfly valves:

Control of fluid flow: Butterfly valves control the flow of fluid through the valve by the rotation of the closing member (flap or butterfly plate). This rotary action allows the butterfly valve to effectively regulate fluid flow to meet the needs of a variety of applications.

Regulating fluid pressure: Butterfly valves can indirectly regulate fluid pressure by regulating fluid flow. When the fluid pressure needs to be reduced, the flow can be reduced by reducing the opening of the valve, thereby reducing the pressure.

Cut off fluid flow: The butterfly valve can also be completely closed to cut off fluid flow. This is useful when it is necessary to stop fluid flow or perform equipment maintenance.

Regulating fluid temperature: In some applications, butterfly valves can regulate fluid temperature by regulating fluid flow. For example, in a heating system, the hot water flow can be controlled by adjusting the opening of the butterfly valve, thereby adjusting the indoor temperature.

Prevent fluid leakage: The tight closing function of the butterfly valve can effectively prevent fluid leakage, thereby protecting the safety of equipment and piping systems.
