Dual-ear spherical—thick waterline EPDM seat—ball plate—steel ferrule
Component composition:
Valve body: Features a wafer-type connection design, secured between pipe flanges by bolts, providing an internal passage for fluid flow.
Butterfly disc: A disc-shaped structure with sealing material fitted around its edges, rotating around the valve stem's central axis.
Valve stem; connects the handle and the butterfly disc, transmitting rotational force.
Sealed valve seat: Provides the sealing function and is typically made of rubber.
Transmission: It can be worm gear transmission, handle control, electric actuators, and pneumatic actuator control.
Type A butterfly valves in sizes DN50–DN350 comply with flange connection standards including GB9112-88, DIN 2501 (Germany), BS 4504 (UK), ISO 2084, ISO 2531 (international standards), BS 10-E (UK), and ANSI 1259 (US). For DN400–DN500 sizes, the valves adhere to GB9112-88, DIN 2501, ISO 2084, and BS 4504 flange connection standards.
Detailed introduction:
This product is made from ductile cast iron, with a butterfly disc crafted from 304 stainless steel—offering excellent corrosion resistance and ensuring a long service life, making it suitable for a wide range of media. The valve seat features an EPDM rubber seal, providing superior sealing performance and outstanding durability, allowing the valve to handle most common media such as water and air. If the medium contains oily substances, the seal can be easily replaced with an NBR (nitrile-butadiene rubber) alternative. Additionally, the worm gear head utilizes a precise worm-and-gear mechanism to deliver accurate valve control, boasting advantages like a highly accurate transmission ratio, smooth operation, minimal noise, and self-locking functionality.
